Is the ELBC affiliated with anyone?
The ELBC participates in the Mason Baseball/Softball Club Pony League. Each age division offers three different levels of play to match a player and team’s skill. These levels are competitive, middle, and recreational.
Who May Participate?
All East Lansing Youth between the ages of 9 and 14 may participate. Should the number of skilled players and the availability of qualified coaches allow – an attempt will be made to form two teams in each division. The age-determination date is May 1st; i.e., if your child is 12 on May 1st, they would play in the 12U division. The teams will be formed based on age criteria, not school grade criteria. When are tryouts held?
Tryouts are typically held in early March.
Does the club provide training prior to tryouts?
Free clinics are provided for 10U, 12U and 14U age groups in February. The focus of the clinics is on proper throwing mechanics, fielding and hitting.
